The High Line Network announced on Monday that 15 new members are joining their group of nonprofit infrastructure reuse projects.
Hemisfair Park has transformed vacant space left over from the 1968 World’s Fair into one of the world’s greatest public places, reintroducing people and a neighborhood back to the downtown core.
Hemisfair is a 40-acre urban district with residences, local businesses, unique programming and three public parks in the heart of San Antonio.
Hemisfair is becoming a sustainable, self-funded district filled with events authentic to San Antonio and new, mixed-use buildings alongside rehabilitated historic structures. Hemisfair is where San Antonio meets: it is the central gathering place for all San Antonians, strengthening the local community and enhancing the sense of pride in the city.
