CicLAvia is returning to Los Angeles County
CicLAvia, the open street bike festival, is returning to Los Angeles County after a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Growing from one Sunday in 2010 to bi-monthly in 2019, 35 CicLAvia open streets have covered 226 miles in 75 neighborhoods, attracting 1.85 million people from 80% of LA’s zip codes. People come from both host neighborhoods—and from all over LA—to explore LA together. They are split among new, repeat and die-hard fans. Some of LA’s most beloved open spaces, CicLAvia’s open streets are the go-to way to celebrate the region’s most important cultural moments. Each route is seven times larger than LA’s median public park. By bringing people together to share their communities, CicLAvia improves the quality of life in LA one ride, walk, stroll, roll, dance, run, smile at a time.

The nonprofit CicLAvia has said it will continue to work with Mayor Eric Garcetti and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to help the city expand its COVID-19 Al Fresco outdoor dining program, which officials are taking steps to make permanent.
Ten years after its founding and eight months into a pandemic, L.A’s bike-centric nonprofit reimagines public health in an urban landscape.
