BeltLine University Accepting Applications Through December 15

ATLANTA – Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) has announced the opening of applications for BeltLine University, or “BeltLine U,” a 4-month long civic university that will explore the history, vision, programmatic elements and implementation strategy of the Atlanta BeltLine. BeltLine U will consist of eight sessions facilitated by the staff of ABI and its project partners. Graduates will have an in-depth program knowledge that they can then share with others in the community.

“The Atlanta BeltLine started as a grassroots movement, and community involvement is what keeps it moving forward,” said Clyde Higgs, interim President and CEO of ABI. “BeltLine U will equip its participants with the tools and deep knowledge to help shape the evolution of the project’s future.”

Participation is open to anyone passionate about the Atlanta BeltLine who would like to learn more about the project and take an active role in its evolution. Applicants should be interested in:

  • Supporting the Atlanta BeltLine to become a model for equitable, inclusive and sustainable city life
  • Connecting and interacting with a diverse group of citizens around the city of Atlanta
  • Creating opportunities to dive deeper to understand the challenges facing the BeltLine
  • Engaging people and groups from your neighborhood and sphere of influence and sharing information about the Atlanta BeltLine with them
  • Advocating for the Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. around issues that are important for your community
